Island Peak Climbing with Everest Base Camp Trek

Trip Introduction

Island Peak climbing with Everest Base Camp Trek is designed for those people, who are mentally as well Physical Fit. If the trekkers have little experience of the expedition in the Himalayas then it is helpful for the climbers. We embark on the wonderland adventure during our trip. This adventure takes us into the heartland of the Khumbu Valley as well as Everest base camp (5357m/17575ft).   The island peak climbing with Everest base camp trek is more adventurous and technical. The Island peak climbing with Everest base camp trek commences with an easy scramble along with a rock ridge to a glacier.  In the above, there is a steep snow headwall leading to the classic summit ridge.

This trail goes through Namche bazar, where we are able to explore Sherpa culture, dress etc. The Island Peak (6189/20305ft) is one main climbing peak of Nepal from the Everest region with an impressive and highly glaciated west face that rises from the Lhotse Glacier. We also visit other most popular trekking trails of Nepal. Such, as Kala Patthar with Everest base camp Trek during this trek before scaling the Island Peak. The journey of Island peak climbing with Everest base camp trekking as well climbing start after taking short and scenic mountain flight Kathmandu to Lukla. It takes about 30min to reach Lukla.

We are observing the gorgeous views of Khumbu or Everest region during the flight to Lukla. The thick forest of rhododendron, oak, Birch and Pine trees are the attraction during the way to Dingboche. Our first point of Island peak climbing is Dingboche. The trekking as well climbing is much easier for the experienced climber. However, it is easier with the support of experienced climbing guides. Ice axes, crampons, and other equipment give you more confidence to climb this technical and challenging climbing of Island peak. The snowcapped mountains, glacier,  Mt. Makalu, Mt. Lhotse, Lhotse Shar, Lhotse middle peak, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Baruntse and gorgeous views of Ama Dablam give you relief from the tiredness.

Island peak climbing is an alternative for you if you prefer pure peak climbing.
