Hindu Pilgrimage Tour Overview

Nepal is one of the holiest countries to visit for Hindus. It is also the land of Lord Pashupatinath, the birthplace of Goddess Sita and the place where some of the oldest Hindu temples still exist. If you have always dreamed of visiting Nepal for its spiritual essence, this tour is for you.

Our 9 day Hindu Pilgrimage Tour covers 3 must see locations, they are Kathmandu, Pokhara and Janakpur. In Kathmandu, you will tour the most significant Hindu temples in the country such as Pashupatinath, Budhanilkantha and Dakshinkali. In Pokhara, you will visit sacred temples located around beautiful mountain scenery. And in Janakpur, you will walk through the very city that Goddess Sita was born and where she was married to Lord Ram.

This trip is perfect for any age group or type of traveler, whether you are making your own way as a devoted pilgrim, traveling with your family or just curious to learn more about Hindu culture and traditions in Nepal. We do all your hotel, transport and guided sightseeing from Day one to the last day, so you can travel with comfort and concentrate fully on your pilgrimage.

Hindu Pilgrimage Tour
Embark on a sacred pilgrimage to Nepal and India’s most sacred Hindu pilgrimage sites, where spirituality mingles with unforgettable scenery.

Best Season for Hindu Pilgrimage Tour in Nepal

The best season for Hindu Pilgrimage tour in Nepal is Spring (March to May) and Autumn (September to November) is recommended for a holiday in Nepal. The climate is nice, skies are clear, roads are easy to travel on, making it the best time to go to temples in Kathmandu, Pokhara and Janakpur.

Spring is also the time for some of Nepal’s largest Hindu festivals. If you come in February or March you might be lucky enough to see Maha Shivaratri at Pashupatinath Temple where hundreds of thousands of worshippers from Nepal and India converge to celebrate Lord Shiva. It is the most incredible religious gathering you will ever witness. Cool and stable autumn weather after the monsoon makes it an excellent time to visit. The mountain views are wide open and the temple grounds are lush and green.

We typically recommend you do not do this tour during the monsoon season (June to August) as heavy rainfall can make road travel difficult, especially on the route to Pokhara and Janakpur. However, the pilgrimage runs throughout the years and we look forward to helping you make arrangements to travel in whichever month best suits your needs.
