Chisapani Day Hiking
Chasapani is amazing day hiking destination lies in the Shivapuri National Park and also the gateway to the Langtang Gosaikunda trekking region. The name Chisapani mean cold water in Nepali. The hike to chisapani starts from Sundarijal, home to numerous waterfalls, a small village in southeast of Kathmandu. It offers incredible scenery of lush green hills, snow-capped mountain peaks and scenic landscapes. 

Chisapani is a small village located at an altitude of around 2165 m is a best hiking place for those who do not want to commit to a longer and more challenging trek. The trail climbs steeply uphill through dense forests and passes by several waterfalls, streams and picturesque villages. 

The trek usually takes 5- 6 hours steep climb, so the trekkers can stay at teahouses or campsites and enjoy the local hospitality and variety of delicious traditional foods. You can also enjoy the panoramic sunrise view from Chisapani Hill. At the same time, you can enjoy breath taking views of the Ganesh, Langtang, and Annapurna mountain ranges. 

Overall, Chisapani is a must visit destination for any adventure seeker and for a relatively easy and short trek within Kathmandu valley in Nepal.
