Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Meet our team at lobuche (4940m)
On this day, you will meet the representatives of Nepal Holdiday Treks and Tours at Lobuche, at an altitude of 4940 meters. After meeting our representatives at Lobuche, you will be updated about the important matters such as places to meet and all various other important instructions before heading for the Lobuche Peak expedition. That will not be the day of departure since you might more likely be tired from this trek you had in the previous few days. Therefore, to acclimatize and to be ready for tomorrow do take a rest. Prepare yourself for going up above 6000 meters in another two days.
Day 2: Trek FromLobuche to High Base Camp ( 5, 400 m) ~( 6-7 hrs ~/ 460 m)
Early in the morning, with the instructions, maps, and other resources prepared for your Lobuche East Peak Climbing adventure, we begin our trek from Lobuche to Lobuche High Camp on the second day. This trek involves approximately 6 hours of walking and reaches an elevation of 5400 meters.
The trek from Lobuche to Lobuche High Camp is an experience rich in joy and hardship. You will undoubtedly encounter challenges due to the uneven, rough landscape, frequently intense sunlight, and various other typical high-altitude problems. Nonetheless, what you truly need is a determined mindset and an idea of what lies at the conclusion of the journey. As you climb to greater heights, it is clear that the air becomes thinner, which may lead to some challenges in walking. Nonetheless, if you consider the alternative perspective, you will find yourself amidst breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains, strolling through the snow, engaging in play, singing, focusing, and, most importantly, achieving the successful summit of your first climbing adventure.
After about three hours of continuous ascents and several additional hours of hiking, we ultimately arrived at the Lobuche High Camp (5400 meters). This is a location where you can have a different new experience, specifically camping in the snow. Indeed, we will be sleeping in a tent for the night, and our lunch and dinner will be pre-packed and require warming up prior to consumption.
Day 3: Climb to Lobuche Peak and Back to Lobuche ( 7,19 m above sea level ~/ 9-10 hrs)
Following a hearty breakfast in the early morning, we will begin the main segment of our journey, which is the ascent of Lobuche Peak. The trek becomes even more difficult than Day 2 due to the climb along the path. Prior to embarking on the peak climbing expedition, our representatives review all the trekkers’ equipment and gear.
We begin the climb to Lobuche Peak without using crampons, but we put them on as soon as we arrive at the snowline. Keep in mind that the ascent to Lobuche Peak cannot be accomplished without the right equipment, such as crampons, due to the wet and slippery paths. After trekking for roughly 4-5 hours along the snow-blanketed path through the rough terrain, we ultimately arrive at Lobuche East Peak, standing at 6119 meters high.
When you arrive at Lobuche Peak, you can take some time to relax, snap pictures and videos, admire the breathtaking panoramic scenery of the nearby mountains and valleys, play in the snow, and savor a fresh breath of achievement. Next, we commence our downward journey. On the same day, we will trek from the Lobuche peak to arrive at Thukla (4620 meters). As we go up and down in a single day, today you will need to walk for approximately 9-10 hours overall.
After arriving at Labuche, you can choose to begin the Everest Base Camp Trek or head back to Dingboche and descend to conclude the EBC trek. Keep in mind that the 3-day Lobuche Peak Climbing fee only includes the trek from Lobuche to Labuche, meaning Labuche will be our final destination for this trip.
