Day 2: Trek Form Chisapani (2165 m) to Nagarkot (2175m)

Today, your journey continues on the Chisapani to Nagarkot Trek, passing through the scenic trails of Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park. This lush forest is home to diverse wildlife, Including Indian leopards and Himalayan black bears. While large animals are elusive, keep an eye out for smaller creatures like mongooses, porcupines, jungle cats, and pangolins. Birdwatchers will be delighted by the chance to spot the vibrant yellow-throated marten and a wide array of bird species. Midway through the trek, you will pause for lunch at Chauki Bhanjyang or jhule before resuming your hike toward Nagarkot. As you approach this famous hill station, the breathtaking Himalayan range gradually unfolds before you, offering a mesmerizing view at dusk. Before settling in For a delightful dinner at one of the many accommodations available-ranging from budget lodges to luxury resorts-you can take in the stunning vistas from the Nagarkot View Tower or another scenic viewpoint.

Day 3: Trek from Nagarkot (2175m) to changunnarayan (1600m) then Drive back to Kathmandu (1,400m)

One of the most unforgettable moments of your Chisapani to Nagarkot trek is the early morning sunrise, where you can witness the first golden rays illuminating eight of the thirteen Himalayan peaks. The ever-changing clouds may momentarily conceal the majestic mountains, only to reveal them again in a breathtaking display. Enjoy a hearty breakfast in the crisp mountain air as you take in this natural spectacle.

After soaking in the sunrise views, begin your descent toward Changu Narayan Temple, a journey of approximately four hours, mostly downhill. Dedicated to lord Vishnu, Changu Narayan is believed to be Nepal’s oldest temple. Although the Changu Narayan Monument Zone suffered damage in the 2015 earthquake, restoration efforts by UNESCO and other organizations have helped preserve its historical significance. Adjacent to the temple is a fascinating culture museum that showcases the rich art, History, and traditions of the Nepali and Newari people, which remained intact despite the earthquake. With this culture exploration, your Chisapani Nagarkot trek concludes, and a short drive will take you back to Kathmandu, making the end of your adventure.
