Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu Then Transfer To Hotel. ( 1335 m)
Our representative will be there at the airport terminal with your name for your warm welcome. After greeting, you will in Kathmandu and be met with you and transfer to your hotel. Time for rest after traveling.
Day 2: Kathmandu Sightseeing 1335 meters and pareparing for peak climbing. ( 1,335 m | 5-6 hrs)
Spend the day visiting some of the cultural sites in Kathmandu: Swayambhunath, Pashupatinath, and Boudhanath. You will also prepare for your peak climbing journey, sorting out your gear.
Day 3: Drive to Syabru Bensi ( 1450 m | 7-8 hours | 120 km)
Then from Kathmandu, it takes about 7-8 hours of driving to reach Syabru Bensi, which is 120 kilometers away. You will drive through some beautiful landscapes that include lush green hills, terraced fields, and dense forests. On the way, you’ll be crossing small villages and towns, which would give you glimpses of village life in Nepal. The road meanders along winding mountain paths, affording stunning views of the surrounding valleys and rivers-a really enjoyable and scenic part of your trek to the Langtang region.
Day 4: Syabru Bensi to Lama Hotel ( 2500 meters | 5-6 hrs | 12 km)
From Syabru Bensi to Lama Hotel: Starting the trek from Syabru Bensi after day 4, which goes for around 5-6 hours with an elevation of 12km, you move upward along with the Langtang River passing many suspension bridges, and there goes a progressive uprising trail along dense bamboo, oak, and rhododendron forest amid a quiet atmosphere. You will catch glimpses of the river, the mountains that rise above the river, the surrounding forests, and sometimes some wildlife-monkeys and birds-in their natural settings. The path is well-marked and pretty moderate, taking you on an easy and leisurely journey to the natural surroundings of Langtang Valley.
Day 5: Lama Hotel to Langtang Village ( 3100 m | 6 - 7 hrs| 10 km)
Lama Hotel to Langtang Village: It would take around 6-7 hours of walking, about 10 km. Further ascending, the trail often goes up in the alpine forests with some sections opening up and presenting panorama views of Langtang Himal and its nearest neighbors. It also passes through several traditional villages and farms en route, with Tibetan culture and architecture becoming more evident with increasing proximity to Langtang Village. Langtang Village at 3100 meters is the biggest village in Langtang and offers spectacular Himalayan views of surrounding mountains, including Langtang Lirung and other snow-capped peaks.
Day 6: Langtang Village to Kyangching Gompa ( 3750 m | 5 - 6 hrs| 8 km)
Hike to Kyangjing Gompa, the historic monastery in Langtang Valley, and enjoy spectacular views of the surrounding peaks. This hike passes through magnificent landscapes and reaches a monastery where you can see cultural aspects as well as stunning mountain scenery.
Day 7: Rest Day in Kyangching Gompa ( 3750 m)
Acclimatize to the higher altitude. You can visit the Kyangjing Gompa monastery and enjoy the breathtaking scenery of the Langtang Himal.
Day 8: Excursion to Tserko Ri ( 5033 m | 6 - 7 hrs | 10 km )
Do not miss catching a panoramic view of Langtang Lirung, Ganesh Himal, and surrounding peaks by hiking upward to Tserko Ri, which is exceptionally breathtaking in scenes of mountains, valleys, peaks, and an unforgettable experience while trekking this region. Make your way downward to Kyangjing Gompa after these views for a rest and continuous trek.
Day 9: Trek to Yala Peak Base Camp ( 4,800 m | 5 - 6 hrs | 7 km)
Start the climb to Yala Peak Base Camp, located in a remote and tranquil region of Langtang. It is a peaceful, scenic hike through the amazing landscapes up to the base camp, with nature’s beauty displaying itself in front of the mountain and valley sides.
Day 10: Yala Peak summit and return to Base Camp ( 5,500 m | 10 - 12 hrs | 10-12 km)
It takes some hours to make it to the top of Yala Peak by early morning, but it’s really worth trying-the breathtaking views of the surroundings. After going to the summit, you get back to the base camp to rest and recover from the ascension, take your time, and enjoy the great view surrounding you, while continuing your trek.
Day 11: Reserve day for bad weather ( 4800 m)
This day serves as a buffer for any kind of weather delays in your trek. It helps you to get extra rest and recover, or if the weather is clear, then you can utilize this time to explore further. This additional day gives a buffer time so that your entire schedule gets flexible enough to not get hampered by any unwanted changes.
Day 12: Yala Base Camp to Ghora Tabela ( 3,050 m | 6-7 hrs | 12 km)
Further ahead, the downhill and easy climb on your trek to Ghora Tabela slowly brings about a more relaxed pace downward into the Langtang area. Trek along for enchanted views of the valley formed by the Langtang River, surrounded by landscapes of plenty, vegetation, and mountain peaks; hence, the relatively easy route balance brings along with it very well-valued progress for today’s trip.
Day 13: Ghora Tabela to Thulo Syabru ( 2,200 meters | 5 - 6 hrs | 10 km)
Thulo Syabru is a small village in the Langtang region and serves as a peaceful stop for trekkers. It offers an excellent opportunity to rest and recover with comfortable lodges, local food, and beautiful mountain surroundings before embarking on your next trek.
Day 14: Thulo Syabru to Dhunche ( 1, 950 m | 5-6 hrs | 10 km)
Trek downhill to Dhunche, a popular town for trekkers where you can enjoy the local culture and take a final look at the mountains.
Day 15: Dhunche drive back to Kathmandu by bus ( 1335 m | 7 - 8 hrs | 120 km)
Take a bus ride back to Kathmandu. The drive will take around 7-8 hours through scenic roads and villages.
Day 16: Free day in Kathmandu ( 1335 m)
Use this day to rest, shop, or explore more of Kathmandu. You can also arrange a celebration of your successful climb with friends or fellow travelers.
Day 17: Departure from Kathmandu ( 1335 m)
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your departure flight home.
