Overview

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Kathmandu (Tribhuwan International Airport) Arrival (1,400m)

Our personnel will be waiting for you at the airport with your name on a placard. He will pick you up from
airport and transfer you to the hotel as per your preference. This day will be for your refreshment and in
the evening you will be provided a guided evening walk to the local markets as well as localities to make
you familiar with the Nepalese atmosphere.

Day 2: Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing

We will be providing you a half day guided sightseeing tour to different UNESCO listed world heritage sites in Nepal with one of our best tour guides and the destinations includes Boudhanath (1,400m) the largest of all Buddhist monument stupas in Nepal, Swayambhunath (1,390m) the monkey temple and also the oldest one of its kind, Pashupatinath (1,320m) the Hindu temple of lord Shiva. We will stay overnight at the same hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 3: Take a flight from Kathmandu for Tumlingtar (518m) and drive to Chichira (1,980m) | ( 32 km) | 3-4 hrs)

We will be heading to Tumlingtar taking a flight for around 50 minutes from Kathmandu and then take a 3 to 4 hours drive to reach Chichira which is a small Gurung settlement where we will be staying for
overnight.

Day 4: Trek from Chichira to Num (1,560m | 6 km | 6-7 hrs)

We will begin our trek early in the morning; walking through the beautiful village as well as the mountain
lush forest which will be heading to Num (1,560m/5119ft) after walking for around 6 to 7 hours.

Day 5: Trek from Num to Seduwa (1,500m/4922 ft): 6-7 hours

The trekking path of today is steep as we descend through the forest and terraced farms to reach Barun
River. We will have to cross the river and again walk along the valley to enter Makalu Barun National park
and will stay overnight at Seduwa (1,500m/4922 ft) after a descent walk of around 6 to 7 hours.

Day 6: Trekking from Seduwa to Tashigaon (2,100m | 4 - 5 hrs)

We will be ascending on this day though a ridge at Ipsuwa Khola on the west and Kasuwa Khola on the
east. We will walk for around 4 to 5 hours to reach Tashi Gaon (2,100m/6890ft) observing the breathtaking views of Himalayas.

Day 7: Trek from Tashigaon to Khongma Danda ( 3,500 m | 6 - 7 hrs)

Our trekking will become a little tough today as we will be walking through steep trail situated at a high
altitude. We should be climbing stone stairs and a small lake to reach Khongma danda (3,500m/11,483 ft)
walking for around 6 to 7 hours.

Day 8: Acclimatization day in Khongma Danda

As our body needs some time to settle up with the higher altitude; we will have to take some rest in
Khongma Danda for this particular day.

Day 9: Khongma Danda to Dobate (3,650m) | 9 km | 6-7 hrs)

We will begin to climb towards the summit of the Shipton La (pass) which takes a few hours to reach. After the lake Kalo Pokhari (3930m), pass over the Keke La at 4,170m. We can see the marvelous views of
Chamlang (7321m), Peak 6 (6,524m) and Peak 7 (6,758m). After crossing the Keke La pass, we descend
through the beautiful valley to Dobate.

Day 10: Trek from Dobate to Yangri Kharka (3,557m | 7 hrs)

We will be hiking through the rhododendron forest which will be leading us to the Barun River. We will
continue to walk on a steep trail as we arrive at Yangri Kharka (3,557m/11,670 ft) walking for around 6 to 7 hours.

Day 11: Trek from Yangri Kharka to Langmale Kharka ( 4,410 m | 5 - 6 hrs)

On this day we will walk through the yak pastures, lush forest and as the valley ends we pass Merek to
make our way to Langmale Kharka (4,410m/14,468ft) observing the magnificent Himalayan scenarios for
around 5 to 6 hours.

Day 12: Trek from Langmale Kharka to Makalu Base Camp: (4,870 m / 15,978 ft) | ( 6-7 hrs)

We will begin our begin our trekking from Langmale Kharka to reach Makalu base camp (4,870m/15,978ft) walking for around 6 to 7 hours along the views of Mount Makalu and Himalayan panorama.

Day 13: Stroll around Makalu Base Camp

We will be hovering around Makalu Base Camp area to observe the magnificent and panoramic views of
lakes and mountains like Everest, Lhotse and some glaciers too.

Day 14: Trek from Makalu Base Camp to Yangri Kharka ( 3,557 m) | ( 10 km | 6 - 7 hrs)

After having the full sightseeing of the area in Makalu Base Camp we will make our way back to Yangri
Kharka descending down for about 6 to 7 hours.

Day 15: Trek from Yangri Kharka to Dobate (3,650 m) | 8 km | 6-7 hrs)

We will again descend on this day on rocky trails and enjoying the greenery of the forest present at our
way following the trail made by River Barun to reach Dobate walking for around 6 to 7 hours.

Day 16: Trek from Dobate to Khongma Danda ( 3,500 m) | 9 km | 5-6 hrs)

The trekking will be adventurous as we climb steep trail from Dobate to Mumbuk and throughout the forest of firs and rhododendron. We will walk for around 5 to 6 hours to reach Khongma Danda.

Day 17: Trek from Khongma Danda to Tashigaon ( 2,100 m) | 10 km | 4-5 hrs )

The trek continues with frequent long and steep descent cutting through the hillsides. The trail takes us
through thick forests and finally making it to the indigenous Sherpa village of Tashigaon after walking for
around 4-5 hours.

Day 18: Trek from Tashigaon to Seduwa ( 1,500 m) | 8 km | 4-5 hrs )

Today we will be leaving Makalu Barun National Park as we descend down to the Barun River and cross
some small villages and hills to reach Seduwa walking for around 4 to 5 hours.

Day 19: Trek from Seduwa to Num ( 1,560 m) | 7 km | 5 - 6 hrs)

We will begin our early morning trek from Seduwa to Reach Num walking for around 5 to 6 hours passing
some Sherpa villages and forest.

Day 20: Trek from Num to Tumlingtar ( 5,18 m) | 10 km | 6 - 7 hrs)

Again we retrace our footsteps to Chichira from where we can savor the glorious vista of Mount Makalu for the last time. The final return leg of the trek will see us overnight at Tumlingtar, ready for an early departure to Kathmandu the following day.

Day 21: Take a flight from Tumlingtar to Kathmandu

We will be boarding a fifty minutes flight for Kathmandu as this is the ending of our trekking journey. We
can rest and relax throughout the day at our hotel.

Day 22: Day of Departure to airport

As your journey ends in Nepal our representatives will be transferring you to the airport for the final
departure to you homeland.
