Overview

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Drive from Kathmandu to Arughat Bazaar ( 126 km) ( 600 m) ( 6 - 7 hrs)

We start our trekking with a 6.5 hours’ drive on the scenic Kathmandu-Pokhara highway via beautiful hills, rivers, and villages. At the end, we reach Arughat Bazaar, a market town by the Budhi Gandaki River. Overnight at the lodge, warm meal, rest, and get ready for the next day’s trek.

The best periods for trekking are spring-Spring (March–May)-and autumn-Sptember–November, characterized by clear weather; the mountain views from almost all the trials are breathtaking.

Day 2: Trek from Arughat Bazaar to Liding via Soti Khola ( 22 km) ( 860 m) ( 7 - 8 hrs)

From here, it follows the Budhi Gandaki River through some lush green hills, dense Sal and Chilaune forests, and across fascinating villages. The scenic route goes up to Liding, a tranquil spot on the riverside. Here, we stay overnight at a teahouse to enjoy the tranquility of nature.

Day 3: Trek from Liding to Khorlabeshi via Machha Khola ( 19 km) ( 930 m) ( 7 - 8 hrs)

The 6 hours trekking route through forest, greeneries, mini waterfalls will lead you to the Mongolian village of Lupu Besi. The zigzag trail will finally lead you to Khorlabeshi and then Machha khola meaning Fish River. We will be staying at a teahouse here in Machha Khola (930 meters).

Day 4: Trek from Machhakhola to Jagat ( 1,340 m) ( 22 km) ( 7- 8 hrs walk)

We will be moving ahead through Tatopani the hot springs and Khola Bensi a village from where we will
ascend up with some of the challenging trails. We will be crossing a suspension bridge over a river at a
place called Lauri to reach Jagat at 1440 meters where we stay overnight in a guest house.

Day 5: Trek from Jagat to Lokpa ( 16 km ) / ( 2,240 m) / ( 7 - 8 hrs)

On this day we will be hiking for approximately six or seven hours ascending gently towards the flat route.
We will be reaching a beautiful village of Gurung inhabitats before we reach Philim crossing the
suspension bridge over Budhi Gandaki River. We will climb up to Lokpa at 2240 meters which lies under
Tsum valley where we will stay overnight in a guest house.

Day 6: Trek from Lokpa to Chumling ( 9 km ) ( 2,386 m) ( 4 - 6 hrs)

We will be ascending the route to Chumling located at 2600 meters which is the south face of Shingri
Himal. We can amble around the Chumling village where there are a lot of Gombas of Tibetan styles
where you can enjoy the artistic scenarios. We will be staying overnight at a lodge after all the travel.

Day 7: Trek from Chumling to Rachen Gompa via Chhokangparo ( 10 km) ( 3,240 m) ( 5 - 6 hrs)

The trail becomes more tough and lengthy as we climb upwards from Chumling and reach Chhokangparo
at 3010 meters which inhabitates two settlements Chhokang and Paro. The superb views of Ganesh
Himlal can be observed with during today’s Trekking. You will be staying at a guest house in Rachen
Gompa at 3300 meters of altitude.

Day 8: Trek from Rachen Gompa to Mu Gompa (3,700m) – (10 km) (4 to 5 hrs)

We will today be trekking through the last village in Tsum Valley named Nile at 3361 meters. The final
destination for today will be Mu Gompa at 3700 meters of an altitude. This trail to Mu Gompa is used as
the trail for import and export from Tibet with the help of yak for local villagers. You will also be observing
this whole scenario during this trek. We will be staying overnight at a guest house in Mu Gompa on this
particular day.

Day 9: Acclimatization day in Mu Gompa (3,700m)

This particular day we will not move further but will be staying at Mu Gompa enjoying the spectacular
views of snow covered peaks as well as strolling around for the whole day. We will be staying overnight at
a guest house in Mu Gompa.

Day 10: Trek from Mu Gompa to Rainjam via Chhule ( 14 km ) ( 2,430 m) ( 6 - 7 hrs)

We will be descending through Mu Gompa to reach Rainjam at 2600 meters all the way through Chhule at
3347 meters where we could enjoy the beautiful scenarios of Punchen Mountain which is a unique gift of
nature. We will stay overnight at Guest house in Rainjam.

Day 11: Trek from Rainjam to Gompa Lungdang ( 11 km) ( 3,200 m) ( 5 - 6 hrs)

We will be walking enjoying the views all the way from Rainjam to Gomba Lungdang which homes to
beautiful as well as giant monastery that shelters the female monks. We can observe the spectacular
sunrise through the Ganesh Himal. We will stay overnight at the Gompa on this particular day.

Day 12: Trek from Gompa Lungdang to Ripchet via Rainjam ( 12 km) / ( 2,460 m) / ( 5 - 6 hrs)

We will be descending from Gompa Lungdang to Rainjam enjoying the closest and the most attractive
view of Ganesh Himal. Our destination will be Ripchet which is a village which lies on a rural area of
Nepal. We will be enjoying home stay at Ripchet.

Day 13: Trek from Ripchet to Philim via Lokpa ( 12 km) / ( 1,570 m) / (5 - 6 hrs)

We are descending today through the dense pine forest where you will be observing the inhabitant of
different species of birds as well as Musk Deer on the way. Reaching at Philip at 1700 meters we will find a
better lodge to stay in.

Day 14: Trek from Philip to Khorlabeshi ( 15 km) ( 970 m) ( 5 - 6 hrs)

We will be continuing our descent from Philim too to Khorlabeshi at 930 meters following the path at the
bank of river Budhi Gandaki. You can enjoy the hot spring in Tatopani where you can relax in the warm
waters. We will be staying overnight at a tented camp in Khorlabeshi.

Day 15: Trek from Khorlabeshi to Soti Khola ( 12 km) (700 m) ( 4 - 6 hrs)

We will be passing through some villages as well as few waterfalls on the both sides of the river. Reaching
Soti Khola at 730 meters; you will be staying overnight at a guest house.

Day 16: Trek from Soti Khola to Arughat ( 13 km) ( 600 m) ( 4 - 5 hrs)

Walking for about 5 hours we will reach to Arughat from where we had started our trekking. We will be
staying overnight at a lodge in Arughat.

Day 17: Drive from Arughat Bazaar to Kathmandu ( 13 km) ( 600 m) ( 4 - 5 hrs)

We will be enjoying our 6 hours trip from Arughat Bazaar to Kathmandu

Price Includes

  • You will be under observation with a pulse oximeter to have your oxygen levels and heart rate measured twice a day during the trek. This is to catch the signs of Altitude Mountain Sickness (AMS) early, thus making trekking safer.
  • Nepal Holiday Treks and Tours, (-20 degree sleeping bag) and a duffel bag for the trekking, but you need to refund to the office after the trip.
  • Sharing Transportation transfer from Kathmandu to Arughat Bazaar and return.
  • Nepal Holiday Treks and Tours trip completion certificate from the company side.
  • Arrangement of Emergency helicopter service (paid by your travel insurance company).
