- Situated within the Annapurna Conservation Area, it is one of the highly built treks; teahouses are managed properly for lodging and food. There are appropriate times for trekking: in spring-from March to May, and autumn-from September to November-where it promises better views and great weather. Starting from Pokhara, a short driving facility and moderately length daily walks make this trip.
- One can notice a gradual gain in altitude along the route, and stops for acclimatization are possible in places such as Ghorepani and Tadapani to minimize altitude sickness.
- The trek leads up to a natural amphitheater called the Annapurna Base Camp, 4,130 meters above sea level, surrounded by some of the highest peaks of the Himalayas.
