Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubensi ( 1440 m)

We will be driving on our first day from Syabrubensi after 8 hours which is the starting point of our trekking situated at an altitude of 1440 meters. We will be staying overnight at a guest house in Syabrubeni.

Day 2: Trek from Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel ( 2470 m)

Walking through suspension bridges and along the waterfalls will be an adventurous trekking today. Passing along the oak, rhododendron and bamboo forests will steal your heart. You may also witness different wild lives during your first day which includes of yellow-throated martens, wild boars, langur monkeys, red pandas and Himalayan black bears. Our overnight stay will be at Lama Hotel in 2470 meters of altitude.

Day 3: Trek from Lama Hotel to Langtang ( 3430 m ) ( 5 to 6 hrs)

After the hike of 5 to 6 hours from Lama Hotel; the final destination for us today will be Langtang standing at an altitude of 3430 meters. We will move through few descends towards steep forest slope to the Langtang River crossing bridges and crossing streams as well as water driven mills and prayer wheels. We will be reaching a large settlement at Langtang at an altitude of 3430 meters where we will have our overnight stay.

Day 4: Trek from Langtang to Kyanjin Gompa ( 3870 m) ( 4 to 5 hrs)

We will pass through mini villages; stone built houses as well as climb to a Chorten and pass a huge Mani along a gentle path of a hill. We will be walking slowly for about 4 to 5 hours to reach Kyanjin Gompa at an altitude of 3870 meters for overnight stay too.

Day 5: Acclimatization day in Kyanjin Gompa

We will be staying at Kyanjin Gompa to adjust our body with the altitude as well as will be sightseeing at different places like Kyanjin Ri (4800 m) and Tserko Ri (5000 m). We will be observing the spelendid views of the langtang Lirung, Langtang range, Kinshung, Yansa Tsenji and the foot of the huge lirung Glacier. We will be back at the evening to the guest house for overnight stay.

Day 6: Trek from Kyanjin Gompa to Lama Hotel ( 5 to 6 hrs) ( 2470 m)

We will be returning back to Lama Hotel descending through the fantastic scenariosslowly and will reach Lama Hotel at 5 to 6 hours to stay overnight at 2470 meters of height.

Day 7: Trek from Lama Hotel to Thulo Syabru ( 2230 m) ( 5 to 6 hrs)

On this particular day; we will again be descending through the river bank as well as crossing the river through suspension bridges. We will be enjoying fantastic views of Langtang Himal and we will pass through pine and Junieerps forests. We will stay overnight at a guest house in Thulo Syabru at an altitude of 2230 meters after walking for 5 to 6 hours.

Day 8: Trek from Thulo Syabru to Sing Gompa ( 3330 m) ( 3 to 5 hrs)

We will take a broad trail climbing to Dimsa villgage through rhododendron, hemlock and oak forest to reach Sing Gompa. We will be observing the splendid views of Langtang Himalaya range and will be staying overnight at an altitude of 3330 meters at Sing Gompa after walking for 3 to 5 hours.

Day 9: Trek from Sing Gompa to Gosainkunda ( 4,460 m) ( 5 to 6 hrs)

The ascending trail covered with rhododendron from the tip of the forest to the bottom. The route inbetween Sin Gompa and Laurebinayak is a sanctuary for the red panda, an endangered species. You will return to the ridge path and climb a wider route through alpine forest to arrive at Gosainkunda. We will explore around the magnificent Lakes and overnight stay in Gosainkunda at an altitude of 4,460m. On this day we will walk for about 5 to 6 hours.

Day 10: Trek from Gosainkunda to Ghopte

We will trek from the magnificent as well as the centre of religion for Hindu; Gosainkunda to Ghopte walking for 6 to 8 hours with the challenging route today. We will pass through rough rocks and climb through moraines as well as pass through three small lakes. We will climb through a rocky hill with pine, rhododendron trees and will stay overnight at Ghopte.

Day 11: Trek from Ghopte to Melamchigaon ( 2560 m) ( 6 - 7 hrs)

On this day; we will be descending through the forested area and climb through a dry river bed to arrive at Kharka which is surrounded by rhododendron forest. We will cross Thare Pati village and enter a forested area descending to Melamchigaon from Melamchi River at an altitude of 2560 meters where we will have our overnight stay too after a walk of 6 to 7 hours.

Day 12: Trek from Melamchigaon to Tarke Gyang ( 2590 m) ( 5 - 7 hrs)

You will enter Helambu region today which is rich grandeur of culture after walking up to Tarke Gyang at an altitude of 2590 meters after walking for around 5 to 7 hours. Helambu is rich in Sherpa culture where you can find different traditional villages and monasteries. We will stay overnight at a teahouse in Tarke Gyang.

Day 13: Trek from Tarke Gyang to Sermathang ( 2610 m) ( 3 to 5 hrs)

We will trek from Tarke Gyang to Sermathang walking for 3 to 5 hours; you will cross small forest with the view of beautiful village of Helembu region. The trail makes a sweep around the wide valley end between Parachin and the pretty Sharpa village of Gangyul. The people of this village practice Drukpa Kagyu Buddhism, the same as the national religion of Bhutan. We will stay overnight in Sermathang at an altitude
of 2610 meters.

Day 14: Trek from Sermanthang to Melamchi Bazaar and drive to Kathmandu ( 3 - 4 hrs)

Today is the last day of our trek where we will have a short trek of 3 to four hours to reach Melamchi Bazaar where we will catch a bus to Kathmandu. We will be organizing a farewell dinner for you on this particular day and will stay overnight in Kathmandu

  • You will be under observation with a pulse oximeter to have your oxygen levels and heart rate measured twice a day during the trek. This is to catch the signs of Altitude Mountain Sickness (AMS) early, thus making trekking safer.
