Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrivel in kathmandu and transfer to hotel (1350 m)

Once you arrive at the Tribhuwan international airport in Kathmandu. You will be greeted by our office staff. He will be holding a placard of the “NEPAL HOLIDAY TREKS AND TOURS Pvt. Ltd.” with your name on it so that you can recognize him. He will help you transferring to the trip hotel. At the hotel, we will be briefed about your forthcoming trek in details. Later you may either take rest and relax or just take a laid back stroll around the colorful markets of Thamel. Evening includes welcome dinner in a cozy and authentic Nepalese restaurant with folk culture program of Nepal while having your dinner.

Day 2: Drive To Syabrubensi (14600 m) ( 6 hrs Drive)

The next early morning the Langtang Valley Gosaikunda treks starts from Kathmandu to Syabru Besi by bus. You will be driving towards north through to the pleasing foothills and gentle- slope landscape to Syabrubesi passing through Dhunche. While passing through the road at the bank of the Trisuli River you catch a glimpse of Ganesh Himal, terraces and green hills. As you pass through Dhunche you feel as if you are heading towards deep land and Overnight in Guest House.

Day 3: Trek To Lama Hotel ( 2340 m )  ( 6 hrs walk)

After spending the peaceful night at the picturesque Syabrubesi, we will start our journey through the carved terraced farm fields and villages. And then passing through the landslide area we will reach to bamboo. Afterwards, your trek ascends gently to Ramche through Bamboo which lies at the bank of Langtang Khola. You can have lunch and take splash in the river for refreshment (if you like). The trek continues until we reach the lama hotel. En route you can spot the elusive red pandas, monkeys and bears if you are alert and lucky enough and overnight at the guest house.

Day 4: Trek To Langtang Valley ( 3330 m )  ( 6 hrs walk)

This day starts with the quick breakfast. Immediately after that we follow the trek route towards Gumane Chowk, the horse stable. From here on the trip becomes gradual and scenic as you gaze the grazing yaks in the green. Langtang village is one of the very old and local villages along this trekking route and the view is more spectacular and overnight at guest house.

Day 5: Trek To Kyanjing Gompa (3730m)  ( 4 hrs walk)

A day downs as usual but brings with a bit of ease with it. As we start with a shorter walk giving us enough time for acclimatization. This place is famous for cheese factory where you can enjoy the cheese products with the amazing view of the surroundings. This beautiful valley sits ideally on the lap of the Langtang Lirung and other around. Here you can explore the valley and also climbs a lot of small peaks and overnight at guest house.

Day 6: Rest day at kyanjing Gumba / Hike to Kying Ri

The sixth day of your Langtang valley Gosainkunda trekking is meant for rest and exploration. You will be visiting the monastery and cheese factory walk up the moraine to see the spectacular ice faces and tumbling glaciers of Langtang Lirung or ascend Tsherko R1st (4350m) which is highest point of this trek, directly behind the village, for a breath taking Panorama of the Lantang peaks and overnight at guest house.

Day 7: Trek Back To Lama Hotel ( 2340 m)  ( 6 hrs walk)

After having our instant breakfast, we return towards Lama Hotel. We stay overnight at local guest house.

Day 8: Trek To Thulo Syabru ( 2210 m)  (6 hrs walk )

The trek to Thulo Syabru trail gently descends ti the landslides which then which steeply up to Thulo Syabru. En route you could see red pandas, monkeys and various species of birds. Thulo Syabru is a wonderful village. From where you can enjoy the amazing land feature and the magnificient nature with splendid views of Ganesh Himal (7110m) Langtang Himal and its ranges and overnight at guest house.

Day 9: Trek To Sing Gompa ( 3050 m) ( 4 hrs walk)

The trail from Thulo Syabru to follows a step ascent path passing through the pine, fir, and rhododendron forests along with the view of Langtang Himal, Tibetan Mountain, hemlock and forests. This path leads us all the way to Sing Gompa. Singgompa provides panoramic views, exhilarating nature and yak cheese factory and overnight at guest house.

Day 10: Trek to Goasinkunda ( 4380 m)  (6 hrs walk)

This is an all important day of your trek as we follow the trail that takes us towards the holy Goasinkunda River. Then we will make a steep ascent all the way to the Gosaikunda. You follow a rugged trail with dramatic views to the Manaslu Range, Ganesh Himal Range, Tibetan Peaks and Langtang Lirung. You pass a few huts a in the high pasture of Laurebinayak, cross a small ridge and have your first view of the holy lake of the Gosaikunda. There are about a dozen lakes in the Gosainkunda basin the main there being Saraswatikunda, bhairab kunda, and gosaikunda. According to the Legend Gosainkunda was created by Lord Shiva when he pierced a glacier with his trident to obtain water to quench his thirst after having swallowed a poison that threatened to destroy the world. And overnight at guest house.

Day 11: Explore Day In Gosaikunda

The morning brings in lots of spirituality and divinity as the entire day is meant for exploring this epic place. The Gosainkunda periphery is a pilgrimage site embellished by the bounty of nature. It is a place glorified and beautified by its many lakes and its basins around the area. You will be having your ideal breakfast and take an interesting walk around a lake and head straight towards the all important gosaikunda pass. The hindus believe that all the hindu deities descend to the lake in janaipurnama, and therefore, taking a holy dip in the lake is their chance to get closer to divinity. After having such at great day, we spend our night at guest house in gosainkunda.

Day 12: Trek Back To SingGompa (3254m) ( 5 hrs walk)

The 12th day of ypur trek begins from where you had left the previous day. From the lake we head towards the Saraswatikunda, from here trail ascends through to a ridge. As we move through to the western arc the splendid views of Himalchuli, Ganesh Himal and Manaslu makes it memorable and breathtaking. From this very ridge, we make a slow careful descend down to the sing gompa via laurebina pass. This place is renowned for its age old monastery and a conventional cheese factory in sing gompa. And overnight you will be staying at the tea house.

Day 13: Trek To Dhunche ( 1950 m) ( 5 hrs walk)

This is the day of mixed emotions as this is the last day of your trek up into the mountains and the holy gosaikunda lake. Today after having breakfast you will be trekking down all the way to Dhunche through forests of oaks, firs, and rhododendrons. Dhunche is an ideal hub and a happening place of the Rasuwa District. And overnight at the tea house.

Day 14: Driver To Kathmandu ( 1350 m) ( 5 hrs Drive)

After having a breakfast early in the morning, your guide will take you to the nearest bus station for a day long stunning drive back to Kathmandu through the uneven paths that continues until you reach the hustling betrbati bazaar. And then till the end the roads becomes smoother and comfortable which makes your journey easier and exciting too.

Day 15: Rest Day At Kathmandu/ Shopping

In fifteenth day you will arrive at Kathmandu. If you wants many more exciting things after such a memorable trekking you can do some shopping and sightseeing in Kathmandu valley. Here you can visit the holy place of lord Shiva Pashupatinath Temple, Swyambhunath, and so on. If you feel sleepy you can take a beautiful sleep as your wish.

Day 16: Final Day at Departure

This is the last day you will be taking back with you memories of Nepal to be cherished forever. We are also pretty certain that our service and the Himalayas hospitality will allure you to come back again!

  • You will be under observation with a pulse oximeter to have your oxygen levels and heart rate measured twice a day during the trek. This is to catch the signs of Altitude Mountain Sickness (AMS) early, thus making trekking safer.
  • Nepal Holiday Treks and Tours, (-20 degree sleeping bag) and a duffel bag for the trekking, but you need to refund to the office after the trip.
