Detailed Itinerary

Day 01: Fly to Lukla (2840m) then trek to Phakding (2610m)

After a good night’s rest and fulfilling breakfast, we drive to the domestic airport for a flight to Lukla. During this scenic flight, you will have an amazing dramatic view of terraced hills and the distant Himalayan giant. After about 30 min you will land to Lukla airport, we meet our further porter who will manage our baggage to carry towards the next stop.

The trekking adventure will all along the Dudh Koshi River; following the trail, then we will reach Cheplung and then a place called Ghat. The places is suitable for lunch with similar dishes available. After Ghat a little walk and a climb lead us to Phakding. Stay Overnight at Phakding.

Day 02 : Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3440m)

Today after breakfast, we will hike from phakding to Namche Bazaar via Jorsalle and Monjo. The trek going through the valley of Dudh koshi River,Crossing several villages TokTok, Benkar and we will reach the border of Sagarmatha National park, Monjo. Permit points, sometimes called check posts.

After checking, we will hike uphill, cross the beautiful iconic Hillary suspension bridge and finally arrive at Namche Bazaar later on the day. As soon as you get there, rest and make dinner. Visit Namche Bazaar in the evening. Stay overnight at Namche Bazaar.

Day 03 : Acclimatization Day at Namche Bazaar and Hike to Everest View Hotel (3880m)

It will be an acclimatization day, we will spend one more day at Namche Bazaar. And as acclimatization’s hike, we will hike heads toward Hotel Everest view ,rewards you with the excellent panorama of mountains with Everest and magnificent Ama Dablam view.

Trekkers can spend a quality time doing photography, wildlife viewing, and even yoga, despite these attractions. In this way, we return to our tea house for lunch and later enjoy free activities at the popular Sherpa town of Namche Bazaar. Stay Overnight at Namche.

Day 04 : Trek from Namche bazaar to Pangboche (3930m)

Today will be an early day for us, climbing all the way uphill to Pangboche will be a bit difficult, but will be exciting to take challenges, all the way the views of magnificent Himalayas around, so there won’t be any question of feeling tiredness. As we reach the Tengboche Monastery in the Khumbu region, dedicated to its beautiful colorful Buddhist monastery, where you can witness monks and priest on religious activities with prayer.

Then, walk leads downhill to Dingboche, within green forested area and further walk to reach Imja River and then cross over a steel bridge, from here end of tree lines as walk leads into arid country to reach at Pangboche for overnight stop.

Day 05 : Trek from Pangboche to Ama Dablam Base Camp (4600m)

Today the most awaited day for us, we will have our early breakfast and head towards the Ama Dablam Base Camp; it is one of the exotic places of the Khumbu valley. On our way we will see several magnificent peaks such as Lhotse, Nuptse, Lobuche, Thamserku, Cholatse and many more. crossing over Imjatse River, after a small bridge where climb leads for an to reach an open and wide area where tree lines fade for few short junipers and dwarf rhododendron bushes, with some Yak herders hut and sheds.

Moreover, we will see the beautiful Mt Ama Dablam, from the base camp. Stay overnight

Day 06 : Trek from Ama Dablam Base Camp to Dingboche (4410m)

We leave leisurely after breakfast as the distance is short today. The trail starts with a gradual ascent toward village of upper Pangboche, passing through pine and rhododendron trees, praying wheels, yak grazing some grassy land and followed by a steep descent towards the Imja Khola River at Dingboche facing north face of Ama Dablam with views of Island Peak a lovely spot for an overnight stop.

Day 7 : Acclimatization Day at Dingboche and Hike to Nangkartshary Peak (5616m)

At Dingboche, we will have the second acclimatization day that helps us pushing forward without getting slowed down by elevating altitudes. After having relaxing breakfast and beautiful views around, our guide will help us to take tour fir to higher altitudes. Therefore, there are two options in front of us at Dingboche. Either we can hike up to Nangkartshang peak or go further towards Chhukung Ri for brilliant up-close views of Mt Ama Dablam, Island Peak, Mt Makalu and many more.

As both are to the higher altitude ,our guide will help us to decide which to hike., Staying for a couple of hours with the magnificent views of the Himalayas. After getting awesomely acclimatized, we return to our tea houses at Dingboche for overnight stop..

Day 08 : Trek from Dingboche to Lobuche (4910m)

After an enjoyable rest day in Dingboche, morning walk leads to monuments facing views of high close peaks, short climb on a ridge top, marked with Buddhist prayer flags and then on a good gradual path to walk. Flattering prayer flags, small Chorten, and great views are seen from the top. it will be a easy hike to our lunch place called Thukla. Thukla Pass offers a memorial site (memorial hill) honoring climbers who have previously attempted to reach the Everest region. It will be kind of emotional for anyone where memories of Everest climbers are built in their memory for lifetime. With a clear view of Mt. Nuptse, we will be reaching a small village with tea houses known as Lobuche.

Day 09 : Trek from Lobuche to Gorak Shep (5140m) and to Everest Base Camp (5364m)

Today; we will be reaching our one of the important destinations during our trip; i.e. Everest Base Camp which is used as the first destination by the ones who are involved in the Everest Expedition. Our grueling hiking day begins with an ascent to Lobuche Pass. Slowly walking through a very unstable rocky path, as the trail is clear with an open view and bare land, so we will be able to see Himalayan birds and other animals irrespective of mountains. After an hour or two, we arrive at Gorakshep.

Finally, we will be at Gorakshep for our lunch, as this is our overnight spot as well, so after having lunch, we further climb a couple of hours to Everest Base Camp before it’s too late to descend. It will be an extra special moment to step at the base camp of the highest Himalaya. We jump with the joy of successfully getting up to Everest base camp. Highlight destination at Everest Base Camp with marvelous views of Khumbu Ice-Falls, glaciers looking above peaks of Nuptse, Everest, and Lhotse. After observing the finest scenarios of different mountain ranges we will return back to Gorak Shep for the overnight stay.

Day 10 : Trek from Gorak Sherp to Kala Patthar (5550m) and trek to Pheriche (4240m)

Today will be an early day for us, as we will be hiking to Kala Patthar for the magnificent view of the massif Himalayas which is never seen before you experience. As we hike up the black rocky hill, named Kalapatthar, we start to see brilliant views of Nuptse in front and slowly Everest appears in front of us showing its magnificent beauty as we had only seen in images it look like dream. Being there live is however completely different feeling for you.

Kalapatthar, we can also see a weather station and a small stupa with prayer flags tied downwards at the top. After a great wonderful moment descends then back to Gorakshep for breakfast and then carries on trekking down to Pheriche valley. overnight stop in one of its nice lovely tea houses.

Day 11 : Trek from Pheriche to Namche Bazaar

After breakfast, we will the way of downhill to Namche Bazaar; sharing our experience and story to the fellow trekkers we meet on the way .We will enjoy the walking through the village of Orsho, Shomare, and get to Pangboche where we lunch again in front of Ama Dablam. From Pangboche reaching with a climb to beautiful Tengboche and its colorful monastery, reaching back into green woodland, from here lovely walks of downs and ups and on the nice scenic trail to Namche Bazaar. Night in Khumbu before Lukla.

Day 12: Trek from Namche to Lukla

Surpassing the popular Namche Bazaar, we cross the same Hillary Bridge, but this time we will trek from another side of the hill that connects us to Jorsale. Passing the Monjo village and re-crossing the Dudh Koshi River through the suspension bridge then after we will be in Phakding village where we can have our lunch with the views of the farmland and villages.Then we will arrive at Lukla. This is the end of our day and a beautiful experienced to be remembered always, so it’s a celebration day as well.

Day 13: Fly back to Kathmandu

As the sun rises today in the morning, it resembles happiness and feeling of a satisfaction and different feeling among us. After breakfast, we get ready for our domestic flight back Kathmandu. With the beautiful scenic of 30 min flight then you will reach Kathmandu. After check-in and refreshment, we have a day to visit around Thamel and enjoy some Trekking Massage and visit the office of Discover Altitude to share our experience.
